Perched up high, in a steep wooded Cotswold valley, the Squash Court Bed and Breakfast provides spectacular views towards the Mendip Hills and Wales, yet it is only 2.5 miles from the City of Bath.
Relax after your journey, enjoy home baked biscuits and a hot drink, then step outside onto your balcony to take in the breath-taking views of ancient woodlands and the hills beyond. During the day you can regularly watch buzzards and kestrels hovering over our field, and at dusk you will hear the incredible sound of thousands of birds returning to roost in the woods below. On clear evenings you may see hot air balloons passing by, and the most incredible sunsets over the Severn Estuary. At night the lights of Bristol can be observed in the distance.
The Squash Court was converted into an eco-home in 2006. It is designed to minimise its impact on the environment, with solar panels, wood burning stoves, an air source heat pump, and spring-fed toilets. We are always looking for ways to reduce our impact on the environment, and provide guests with local and/or organic products wherever possible. With our own flock of chickens and Khaki Campbell ducks, we also keep the house well supplied with fresh eggs for baking.
The Squash Court is within easy reach of the M4 (J18), 6.5 miles away.
The Bath Park and Ride (Lansdown) is just 2 miles by car or 1.5 miles by foot.
The Bristol Park and Ride (Bath Road) is 9 miles away.
Bath Racecourse and Lansdown Golf Course are both within walking distance, and the Cotswold Way is about 100 metres away.
A taxi from the centre of Bath costs around £10-15.
